1 July 2019

It’s under that flower;
on that sunsplashed rockface;
on the ripples in the stream
that gurgles and giggles
excitedly on its way.

Look, look, look! Quickly
or you’ll miss it!  There is more
and more
and more!
On the kaleidoscope colours
of that butterfly’s wings;
in the swoops and twirls
of the flight
of that yellow-billed kite!

It’s everywhere!  All around!
It’s happiness,
just waiting to be found.

Thank you, Ida.  Happiness, despite its spelling, doesn't HAPPEN.  It simply IS.  We just have to notice it, acknowledge it, be grateful for it, celebrate it - and when we do, that is our reward.     Glad you loved the poem.

Thank you, Lori, for your lovely message, though, I detect a little sadness in it that I wish wasn't there.
