I was reminiscing,
Of back when I was young-
The dreams and schemes were myriad…
But I was young and dumb.

I knew romance awaited me-
Just around the bend…
I knew I’d find a princess,
A lover and a friend.

You, know, I may have found her-
The one fate meant for me.
But in my haste and passion-
I was too blind to see.

So now I keep on looking-
For what, I do not know-
I lost my hope for happiness,
A long, long time ago.

Gunslinger - I liked this and its aim at anyone who has fallen in love or is about to fall in love or hopes to fall in love again. We hunger for its pulse and are willing to starve ‘til it comes. We'll feed on its impact, digest its glory and languish in its afterglow. And when it’s gone, we just never knew there were that many tears inside to miss it. Amazing is the hope of the human spirit to ride again. Giddy-up horsee! Nice work Gs. Namyh

Great Poem!

However, I am personally of the school of thought that one never gives up on love. I also believe that the "perfect person" doesn't really exist. Nobody is perfect. Often it is the "imperfections" that make us match. It is never too late to find happiness...but you have to keep looking.
