The Tumbling Light

In the deep, deep dark, my brain flashes sight
-of a garden in a forest
-where the trees sway in chorus
-dropping tiny stars that flouresce
and Ideas that hide in shadows reach to catch
one tumbling light.

They merge and link in combination, prodding Man’s imagination
to write on tapestry weaved from birth all dreams and hopes thus far.
So if in Life his pen runs inkless, he can read how unrelinquished
he once held his dreams extinctless blinks of tumbling stars.

For their divine inspiration is the heat that flames creation
into making Man cross silvern stars which span the Heaven’s breach
and from their brink back cosmic reach his hand outstretched with truth
to teach: “To settle not for what you see but to envision what can be.”

Once launched, they glint and glimmer, these Ideas now spectral hot,
-poking free the mind’s detention
-prompting Fate’s proclaim to mention
-that Ideas cause Man’s ascension
not his status, wealth or money, nor his claims of things he’s got.

Namyh...This has got to be the most inspiring poem I have read in many many years. So many lines touch my imagination and heart I couldn't pick just one line.
To dream a dream and give birth to it.
Well Done...Paul

Alana - Nothing like a little 'tumbling light' to change your day. You are the Queen of Huggertz and I'm tickled pinklish.(You know I had to zing that one in). Thanks a lot for spendin' a spell in Namyhland to enjoy this piece.

Paul - Often the only difference between people is the presence of an idea in one man, the absence of an idea in another and the behavior each exhibits as a result. First the man makes a dream and in its pursuit the dream starts remaking the man. Thanks for your wonderful words of enjoyment which now are remaking me. Hallelujah! Namyh

Sunshine - I knew that if I charted the stars, consulted the oracles, calculated the planetary orbits and consumed 2 rum strong raspberry lattes; I could intersect at the right place, at the right moment with the right poem for a major tickle of the tempo. Whoa! So very happy you stopped in just in time for the delivery. It may be raining outside but I definitely got Sunshine inside. Double Hallelujah! Namyh

...such a beautiful description of thought and acknowledgment of the power of ideas resulting. I thought I'd enjoy a little digging before work this morning.  I was right.  I definitely enjoyed.

“To settle not for what you see but to envision what can be.”

When we were young we were taught this...to envision all you can be.  I can help but wonder if they dropped the ball on this along the way somewhere, looking at the actions of our youth today.  Some Divine Inspiration is surely needed here.

Good points made here.
