With the blinds at half mast,
morning casts a new light
across the night-time gloom of her room

Despite losing in drowsy combat,
her gaze is taken by the sight
of sunlight stroking chimney stacks

Cold air flows through
a broken paned window,
dancing up her goose-bumped arms

Birdsong melodies,
singing through the bass-line of traffic,
making fine morning music

The sky, slipping from blue to gray,
as the day mood-swings its way towards rain,
dripping diamonds on her window pane

She decides to stay home today
Funny thing about that (sighing)
I think I will too...

I think this is sneaky sweet. You had me going on what I thought was a melancholy tact, then you came about at the last minute and sailed into the sweetest ending. Very cool, my friend. ~L

Hmm...Talkin' about it, Miss Lori,
have I ever told you how much I like it
when you say, "sneaky sweet"?

Um, yeah...I just did, didn't I?

Whether you (or anyone else) like it or not, you really make me happy, doll!

I'm glad you're here when I come around, Miss Lori. You make it fun, and you make it worthwhile.

So many thanks for all your awesomeness!

Back atcha Bluesy!
You're a sneaky sweet kinda guy.
A wise person once told me to surround myself with good people. I think you're good people.
Thanks for participating in my world. ~L
