Your love is deep and true.
You love me
with everything you have and do.
You’re not much for fancy ways
or big displays.
Still, you touch my heart everyday.
A few special things
from you
and my heart sings.
Hugs and kisses out of the blue
will always do the trick.
But the most precious to me,
brings back the memory
of the first time
you made love to me.
A small thing really,
that may seem silly,
but to me the gesture
couldn’t have been bolder.
Gentle kisses upon my shoulder
after your love was spent,
and I knew,
for the first time in my life,
I had been made love to.
And I wanted to be your wife.
Your love was heaven sent.
So try to understand,
those times you do it again,
you touch my soul
and make me feel whole.
I might shed a tear.
I hold that memory
in my heart
so close and so dear.
