when we lose what we love it is a lot like death
so I went to a store to purchase some joy
I thought it overpriced
so I bought pleasure instead
I needed some sunny skies
and some clabbered clouds
after taking a very deep breath
I looked all around
made sure no one was looking
and pilfered a reproduction of your smile
went home
put on a oldie but a goody sad song
placed your smile on the mantle
cried to the words of the songs
and passed yet another day

Wonderful piece, my friend - one feels the love and the loneliness.  Up at the top of your writing... (to me anyway).

More depth to this than meets the eye.
This could be a hit song here in Texas.
Nice flow in your words.

This really is a special piece Jerry. He is right, it would make a good country song. You never cease to amaze.  ~L

I think you wrote about me today  or at least this is how I felt. I might have to start writing again....always enjoy reading you. M

Thanks Moss. Why'd you ever stop writing? You can get rid of a lot of stuff that is causing you pain. But you know that.
