Fresh Brew Morning quiet, the smell of fresh brew, the burble of our old pot, eyes that don’t want to open, a gentle hand caressing my shoulder, a nuzzle and a kiss just below my ear . . . what would you like this morning? Her voice soft and low. Coffee smells wonderful, I murmur. Her knee next to my hips, hers sitting on the back of mine, her breast suggestive on my back . . . Are you sure, that’s what you want? Coffee can wait, I breathe as I turn over to face her, . . . and her lips crush mine. © wesley james beard, jr. |

Jimmy, Love this! You show time and again that love and romance are timeless and ageless and beautiful. ~L |
