17 May 2018

In the desolation of darkness,
she felt
a kind of Namaste,
an Ubuntu
as though
there was a candle
trying to burn
lightness
into the black night
and she took that tiny light
and scattered it around her
and the little lights grew
and grew
and grew
and the day
burst
into sight.

Oh, Lori!  What a lovely reply!  And please give Winston and Mizz Kitty lots and lots and lots of huggles and cuddles and strokles and kissles and love from Auntie Di across the huuuuuge water bowl and waggy-tailed woofs from Benji and purr-meeows from Shadrach, Meshach and Abigail!  How sweet of Winston and Mizz Kitty (and you for passing their message on!)!

I think perhaps I came here today seeking the image these words evoke. I know I'll leave holding it close. Beautiful work!

Thank you, Ruth, so very much.  It makes me deeply happy that my words could do that for you.

Beautiful, a kind of magic, Diana. I don't come on the site much anymore but it is so nice to read you again.
