Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Thank God For Fridays
and wearing blue jeans to work.
For Friday fatigue that we
all share in our smiles hello.
For finally finishing the
frustrations of the week.
For the Friday closest
to the fifteenth and payday.
For it only being a matter of hours
until the weekend starts.
Thanks God for Fridays
providing a finish line
to drag ourselves across.

I sure remember waiting hopefully for Friday to finally arrive . . . These days every day is the same since I've "retired."

"For finally finishing the
frustrations of the week"

It's important for people to do all they can to find satisfying employment that isn't quite so 'frustrating'.
Those kinds of jobs seldom come to them, they have to go to the job...if they're willing.
If they enjoy their work, the money comes. If they're stuck in a rut and work at something
just because it's 'a job'...then Fridays (and even Saturdays) are indeed, a chance to get out of the squirrel cage.

For me, my head was more important than my hands...and it still is.

...just bein' Bluesy
