Let’s be more of lovers and not so much companions
as we fend off all our doubts from these outer gardens

Let’s not be burdened with expectations or regret
I know how much will be left south of the gate

Swinging it back and forth my darling,
serves to remind me of how diligently I’ve oiled its hinges

Give me your hand, My Sweet Baby
Let’s you and I take ourselves an old-fashioned walk

We can talk about nothing
...and laugh at the newness of each other

Whaddya say, Toots?

Hah! Absolutely love your first two lines, the rest ain't bad either, especially the last one Let's all let loose and forage ahead with a jaunty step.
