She picked at my senses
like a tireless locksmith

Projecting her image
of perfect tanning-bed skin

All the while stretching back
her authentically plastered smile

Outside on the slushy street below
a ‘63 Chrysler passes sounding less like a machine

...and more like a crashing wave

...just bein' Bluesy
