Fair to middlin' of nowhere

I’m not asking
for you to move a mountain
for me.
I’m telling.
Your pity party is over the top
and gone on way too long.
You’ve trashed me with your tantrums
and sulked away your days.
You say you’ll be happy when…
Well what if when never comes?
What if everything doesn’t come back
just the way you want.
What then?
What about us?
What about me?
Do you really expect that I
will hang around on hold indefinitely
while you wallow in your misery?
You’ve shut your eyes tight
to shut out the light
at the end of the tunnel
and complain you’re afraid of the dark.
You won’t listen to what
my heart is crying out to you.
You can only hear the voices
spinning in your head.
While you are sitting on the mountain
of grief you have created,
you need to take a look around
at the damage it’s done.
Count your blessings
while you still have them
and they will grow.

quote:
"I’m not asking
for you to move a mountain..."
Mountains are for climbing and they look good right where they are.

I can only hope that the 'object' of your indignation has heard these words as well as you have written them, Miss Lori.
"Denial" as the poets say, is a river in Egypt.

Unless your target audience is Egyptian, they have no business being there without a passport.

Well, um, about that river...I haven't exactly crossed that bridge yet. No, I haven't read it
TMI, I suppose. ~L

"TMI?"

I make a few things out of that, but none are likely what you meant.
What I meant, was when confronted with the facts, you may run into a wall of denial.
Few are comfortable with their shields in the down position. Like being in a room full of strangers without any clothes on.

Well, it sounds too much like an ultimatum, probably why I dreamed last night I was sleeping on the dogs bed at the foot of our bed LOL.  ~L
