Knowing he will never face you
Knowing the most you will remember
is the smell of his morning smoke
or a lullaby from someone else’s songbook

Every day she hides you more away
Her little secret with no father
Because she’d rather keep your choices
for herself

So he thinks you’ll never tell him
and he thinks you never should
Because even if he really was his dad
...he’d still be no good

...just bein' Bluesy

Yep! I was told about such a thing on a trip to town and it it was passed along as though it never happened before...anywhere.
Imagine that,
