Side by side they stood, row upon glorious row
shoulder to shoulder, father and brother

Generations together, proud plumes wavering
dancing in the wind, root deep in moods

Rigid in defiance of the mower's blade.
Side by side they fell, Row upon glorious row

Shoulder to shoulder, father and brother
Generations together... all dying

Dancing in the wind, knee deep in blood
Side by side they moved, row upon glorious row

...just bein' Bluesy
