Fair to middlin'
The wind bullied me on my way home today.
It bumped and shoved the car
and then jerked the steering wheel.
I kept my hands at ten and two
to keep me in my lane.
Didnít make a difference which way I turned,
wind was everywhere I went.
Took old 40, going fifty-five,
had the window down a bit
it was so warm outside.
Must mean the windís out of the south.
Thereíll be a cold front on its heels
and a tornado somewhere in between.
Just you wait and see.
They say March comes in like a lion
and goes out like a lambÖ
Be that as it may,
this is Kansas and that bullying wind
is going to bully its way through
whenever it wants, all year long.
