She comes to me at night and sometimes in the day,
love is in her words and she says that she should stay

She speaks of happiness and laughter, and of emotions still untamed,
nights that will live on forever, and passions expressed unashamed

And when I least expect it, she’ll creep right up on me,
reminiscing about the good times, a reminder of how it “used to be”

But sometimes she brings tears, trying to break my heart in two,
Sometimes I tell her, “I want to forget my memories of you"

...but sometimes, I don’t think I do

How it used to be is one of those places only your mind can take you and it is a bittersweet trip. You can't go back. But you can use those memories as a reason to move forward. Then soon these days will slip into 'how it used to be'. And you will be blessed with moments that 'feel like old times'. You have lots to look forward to. ~L
