Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2018-02-17 08:57 AM

On the inside of my left ankle is a tattoo
of a moon on a wave.
Better yet, its a moon rising on a crashing tide.
I got the moon to balance the sun
tattooed on the inside my other ankle.
The moon represents feminine energy
and the wave represents the cycles and tides
that women are all affected by.
For no particular reason at all I was pondering
upon the voyage of waves my moon has taken.
I recalled riding the crests and surviving the troughs
on years of turbulent seas,
and feeling as if my moon is rising on the soft shores
of a calm bay these days.
I still have to weather those tropical storms,
now and again.
Of course that’s just part of it
in my ocean.

"Floating on turbulent waters toward a distant shore...it's good to sail on high seas.
Someone once said that sexuality was equal to one's perceptions and expressions of bodies of water...
the deep oceans I see in your eyes (poetry) makes me feel it was you"

Your lovely poetry made me recall, Miss Lori. This piece of yours is an interesting departure, if I may say so.
The symbolism is inspiring.

Wow, thanks Bluesy!
I think I just haven't written this way in a while. You will eventually figure out I write every which way about just about any ole thing. Check the archives for Eusta B Mae. And my 'Driftwood' series is pretty good. ~L

Listen to yourself Miss Blues:
quote:
"PIP has become the Lori / bluesy forum"
This appears to be the case to you and many others for just one simple reason. Miss Lori and I are here and you're not. I myself never post without replying. Envy and deflated egos abound and now you're behaving like a child just because you imagine Miss Lori to be dissing you.

The ONLY reason Piptalk suffers attendance is also a simple one. People don't come here anymore. Other reasons are because they miss "the old gang", or they think Bluesy and Lori Rhoden are holding Ron hostage and have him bound and gagged in his Dungeon. Change is growth, Miss Blues. It can be a change for the good if others reply before posting or even after, but it can also be a change for the worse and Ron may break free and shut the whole place down.

Gee. What would Miss Lori and Bluesy do then?

You've overreacted to nothing and overrated our value to this community. I suggest you lighten up and join the "family of friends". You know what your choices are...and so do I. How could I know that? Easy. I have the EXACT same choices.

Miss Lori, I very much liked these lines and didn't want you to think that I skimmed over them:
quote:
"On the inside of my left ankle is a tattoo of a moon on a wave. Better yet, its a moon rising on a crashing tide"
...to behold!

Wow, Blues, I'm sorry I 'blew you off'. I really don't remember and it wasn't intentional. I do wish you'd post. Only having one or two other voices here is not as much fun as you must think. Please join us, the door has always been open. ~L

Bluesy, thanks for standing up for me. I don't think I could have said it as well. It is different, with it being you and me posting regularly. I miss the old gang too. But it is better than either one of us posting with no one around to respond. Like you, I feel we are keeping the place afloat as opposed to hogging it for ourselves.  I feel bad that people have bad feelings about it. ~L

You're special, Lori Rhoden...to me and to many others, too. You're a friend and I feel privileged to know you as I do.
If you're the only one that reads me and replies, that's enough. I mean that.

I write Linny every single day too. I never want her to feel alone. Ever.

I have a feeling you have been writing her so long you may have a hard time stopping and find yourself leaving little love notes here and there for her. You just seem like that kind of a guy. ~L

It's funny you should mention that, Miss Lori, because we have teased each other about that before.
I mean, what could we possibly do if we run out of paper, pens...or both?

Oh I'm sure you two will think of something-
smoke signals perhaps. ~L
