I ran away today from the accumulating gray that threatened the downpour of the decade
As I reached the shelter of the railway station, the chatter of the crowd left my ears ringing
Looking up, an ominous darkness filled the stations transparent ceiling

Just then, a chill breeze blew yesterday’s sunny forecast rippling a puddle on the platform,
stirring up the accumulated Summer dust that had settled on its surface

The fluorescent fast-food booth made my stomach growl as a radio crackled back a purple flash
that struck the many nameless commuters dumb as they teetered now in stroboscopic steps

Above these strutting masses, a billboard had another kind of flash...“Make Your Escape Today!”
Pondering over the idea, I stumbled past the coffee shop where caffeine-tempered couples let the rumble of the thunder pass

Just then, a well-glazed ticket vendor asked me; “What’ll it be Mac, one-way or return?” I pondered some more
Across the slippery marble floor, a little boy broke free from his mother’s shopping-hampered clutches
...and laughing like a little Hyena, ran away

I marvel at the uniqueness of your poems and how you build your stories lines and the feeling at the end that I just read a parable.
Good stuff Bluesy. ~L

Thank you so much, Miss Lori.
It's the sign of a man with time on his hands...for now.
