Fair to middlin' of nowhere

I outed a memory
to some friends of mine.
Drug them down my
trauma lane.
I’m not sure why.
Perhaps I just needed
to hold their hand
to go there again.
There, where I follow
the why like a butterfly effect
to my perfect storm.
Or maybe just to say
my understandings
come from  lesson learned
the hard way,
most often self inflicted.

Lori Lou...I suppose most of us have had lessons learned the hard way...BUT it is those lessons that make us stronger and in my opinion more compassionate towards others & certain situations. A touching write

Pinkydear,
I'm with you 100%. If you come through a hard time with nothing but hard feeling and bitterness then you have not learned the lesson from that opportunity. I believe in the old adage that every gray cloud has a silver lining. ~L
