I am a survivor
I have survived
I am surviving
But I think
That I have not lived
Not truly
And now I'm beginning to understand
That there is a world of difference
Between those two planes of existence

I think our capacity for wholeheartedness can never be greater than our willingness to be broken-hearted."  Brene Brown

Such wise words. I have taken them to heart.

In the literal sense, there's little, if any difference. Figuratively, a veritable 'world' of contrasting possibilities.

I agree, there's a lot of factors that surface in a lifetime.
I find facing them with a positive attitude is the key even when we experience failures the experience is in storage for the next time around.
Face it with a smile and the inner strength you gain from maturity.

You are so very right, my friend. There is a vast difference between "surviving," and "living."
