I knew of a time before I was when she would show her works on framed, taut canvas
By day, she painted with blended pastels, but in the dark of night, harsh reds and bitter blues

In the interstices of her time was a place where no hurried whispers went unheard
Her secret thoughts would echo around me as spoken words with no needed sense of direction

With her, not one of those feather-light brush strokes went without intended stimulation
And, within her mind raged an imagination far too complex to perceive with logical efforts

Her eyes shone like silent silvery screens that said so much in their sedated silence
and in them, I saw I was not alone, that she would forever keep me when the raging subsided

...and all I can do, baby, is watch you and wait

I'm always struck by the different ways you express your deeply intimate knowledge of your woman. You don't fit her into a preset mold to satisfy us, you hold us in place and give us a sense of wonder. Through your eyes she is anything but ordinary. ~L

Yes, Miss Pinky...She'll be home soon. Some people are in your life to stay. For me, only one, and I would wait for her to my last breath.
After that...the insurance kicks in.
