Framed in a picture, we were...framed and hung on our own wall of shame
But now, the images have faded some and will continue to do so, just as memories do

And as the curves of daylight fall upon us, it’s my own features that accept the blame
For when my eyes rest on yours, my darling, you glow right through me, as you once did in innocence

Your feelings were loaded into that gun, and one by one you raised it to meet our needs
But baby, when you stood too close and you shut your eyes, you knew it was far easier to bank your shot
