Ah!...
Today our cherry tree blossoms are dancing down, lover,
laying a damp carpet around me as I sit beside the brook where
the gently flowing water cools the heat from my dirty, tired feet

Coming back toward the cabin, honey, I remember the night we hung
bobbing Chinese lanterns on the wash line between the old wood ‘T-poles’
and how they gave your face a warm, colorful glow as you swung,
soles to the stars, on our old swing, collecting petals in your hair

I remember too, the night I asked you for all your days while we lay cocooned in leg and arm,
and I felt your mouth pressing against my heart-opened ear…
I love you, baby and I want you to feel it more than you hear it
The lanterns are still here, lover, the cherry tree too, and the swing awaits it's favorite form

There is an unmistakable tenderness in these love poems of yours, unique as your finger print. You have created a special world of words with her that is so tangible, you have me missing her too. ~L

That's very sweet of you to say, Lori Rhoden.
