We were so lost in gazes, a fascination,
when first my heart met yours

There were so many wishes between the absence of kisses,
as our hearts went out to play

Still, through the dark distance, there was a lover's persistence,
that the play would never end

So the curtain rises on a stage of surprises,
leaving the audience thrilled

And you, my leading lady, and I, your leading man
catch the thornless roses

...and capture our gazes once more

...just bein' Bluesy

Bravo Bluesy!
You know I loved this one. I'll always have a front row seat to your performance with her. ~L

"there was a lover's persistence,"

Yes! Yes! Indeed, you have captured the essence of this poem in those few words.

~ If they give you ruled paper, write sideways. ~
