Tell me, oh tell me, my sweet wandering love
what is it you see when you look upon the water?

Do you see your own reflection kneeling over its surface?
Do you see the fish beneath?
Do you see the sky through the tree leaves?
Do you fear you see the wind instead... hidden behind a breeze?

Tell me, oh tell me, my sweet wandering love
what it is you see when you look upon the water...

I guess when we wonder what they see in us, we want to know what other wonders that they can see that we can't. A mind that wants to wrap around us is a beautiful thing. ~L

I'd have rather written this reply of yours, Lori Rhoden, than the poetry.

Using metaphors, for me, is easier than seeing through them. As I've said before, you have a sharply-honed intuition. Thanks for using it so eloquently on this piece.

I like how you've penned your emotions in this one Bluesy ~ I love to sit quietly and share my thoughts upon the waters reflection.  Oft times I find answers to the questions love and life pose.  Thanks for sharing ~ Enjoyed
