There is a crisp chill in the air tonight I pull my pink parka up around me close As memories of you nip at my heels You and I walked this same path together It now seems like a million years ago Holding hands and laughing into the wind The stars twinkled celebrating our love The moon shone down bathing us in soft glow All was right in the land of forever Whispered promises skitter through the night Like dead Autumn leaves that dance underfoot They are here today and gone tomorrow My heart and soul aches for our yesterdays My mind sleepwalks in the essence of you I wistfully walk in thought of what if...
