Tales From The Cabin That Smokes: Book Thirteen...Awaiting Her Return...

In The Mirror

Sometimes, while in a deep sleep, lover, I dream, of enchanted places,
places where we fly together over ever-changing landscapes
with our hands held together as we take flight,
spreading our multicolored wings as wide as the horizon

Resting ourselves on a bed of puffy white clouds
as they fill the canvas of a never-ending sky, forever moving
We feel them as they swirl about, changing shape with the slightest breeze

With a gentle flex of our wings they begin to form recognizable shapes and patterns,
and as they do, we also see ancient myths coming to life...
Resting there upon our cloud, we lay mesmerized as angels flutter all around us

A misty hold of the imagination then threatens to vanish with the wind
...and I awake with a feeling of warmth as the morning sun caresses my face

I look up to greet the clouds, my darling and I still see you there...and smile
Soon, lover, time will once again be kind to us and our dreams may then come true

...just bein' Bluesy

Bluesy, I needed a hanky alert on this one. I was right there floating on a cloud too when reality slapped me in the face. Ya choked me up and I'm still drying tears. Take that as a compliment, it is intended as one. "sniff" ~L
