Beating the weak and starving the slaves, driving the frightened ones into their graves
We're mugging the old and raping the young, still, the National Anthem is sung

The thunder of jackboots out in the street, people alone with nothing to eat
Waiting for pension day, waiting for dole, they’re getting down to their last bag of coal

The windows are grimy, the chain's on the door, cleaning up puke that was left on the floor
Pick up the bills for the hell that you pay, then some joker says, “have a nice day!”

Bluesy, you sound like a radical protester-I like it! Give 'em what for! Tell it like it is! Don't cut 'em any slack! Can I ride on your bandwagon? ~L

There's always room in the "bandwagon" and there's room for two on my soapbox.

I'm happy to know we've common ground on a few issues, Miss Lori. Enjoy what's left of the holiday!
