A field brimming with roses, tenderly blown on a soft breeze
" A rose for every heart " the widowed weeper whispered

Petals perturbed and blown long ago when she was shown such a heinous vision
Embedded in her eyelashes came a flickering pain ‘twas a death in vain, sharing her name

For years and years her house teemed with tears, many a day spent plucking, to no avail
Over-drunk with ale, candle wax was her holy grail...

...which she used to weep

...just bein' Bluesy

I like this Bluesy,
It is sad and kinda twisted in a weird and wonderful way. I have a feeling I won't be thinking of rose petals in quite the same way again. ~L

I'm so pleased to know what you saw in this, Miss Lori.

You're very kind and much appreciated.
