Fair to middlin' of nowhere

He’s off to Idaho,
be gone about
a week or so.
Got a brother there
that’s eighty-six
and getting frail.
Wants to see him
before it’s too late,
don’t you know.
His middle brother
is coming along
for the ride
and to say hello.
I just hope the weather holds
and they don’t hit snow.
I miss him already.
He leaves in the morning.
I can’t wait to see him go.
He needs a break
to clear his mind.
I need a break
to find mine.
I know it’s here
somewhere so
maybe if I tidy things
it’ll show up.
You just never know.
I miss him already,
I can’t wait for him to go.

pinkylight,
everything is fine here, he'll be home tonight! Sure has been nice not having the TV on all the time. ~L
