Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2017-11-02 08:27 AM

It snowed yesterday.
The flakes tumbled down
in a delicate ballet
that lasted all day.
It was still too warm for the snow
to stick to the pavement.
It flocked the trees and clumps of grass
and dusted cars in the parking lot.
Watching the snow fall
was hypnotic.
It was so peaceful and relaxing
I nearly nodded off.
At the same time,
it was exciting
to watch the snow falling,
and as it drifted down,
my thoughts drifted
to winters past.
Good food with good friends
and stoking the wood burner
are just a few of my favorite things.
It snowed yesterday
and my heart celebrated.

Thanks LeeJ,
Yes the "bad" stuff it yet to come. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy the "little snows"  Thanks  ~L

This excerpt gave me a good feeling too, Lori Rhoden.

I'm glad it did Bluesy! Yours make me feel good too, kind of like reading a romance novel here lately. ~L

It's a 'mood' thing really, Miss Lori. I know you know what I mean.
Silly comedy can't be far away...or some insanely dark stuff.

What say you?

I say I'm writing crap here lately, so I haven't posted it. Maybe I'll write something decent today. Who knows?...~L
