Horns of the Howling Wind

Cold weather blows in on the horns
of the howling wind.
It sends us scrambling
to find hats and gloves
put up for a year.
It finds its way through cracks
in doorways and necklines.
Blasting leaves off of trees
it scatters trash about
and buffets cars on the highway.
As the wind swirls around about
creating chaos and havoc,
our thoughts turn to turkeys
and Christmas lists
and big steaming mugs
of hot cocoa.

I think we are expecting our first hard freeze this weekend (yea! Kill the bugs!)
The wind has been fierce the past couple of days. It has been sunny, but that wind! Brrrr! ~L

Well, it is coming, like it or not. I heard we are supposed to get a lot of snow this year. Love to look at it but hate to drive on it. ~L

I love the holidays but definitely not the cold!!! Brrrr When the cold hits the wind won't be the only thing howling!!! I will be too!!!! ha ha Enjoyed Lori Lou Alana
