Komorebi
By: Nadia Lockheart

.
.
.
Yellow shadows drift,
across a sky of purple sage...
.
.
...where the sea swings in,
like an iron gate...
.
.
...floating in the grips,
of a fast forward button...
.
.
...am I in a waking dream,
or could I be off the grid...
.
.
.
So here we are,
spinning slowly around,
yeah, here we are,
drowning pretenses out,
here we are,
in the most perfect moment,
of your life...
.
.
...can you feel the sunshine,
sunshine...

...ricocheting 'cross the skyline,
skyline...

...yeah, I'm swaying,
in the sunshine,
sunshine...
.
.
.
...we all live for a day,
trouble is nothing but a memory...
.
.
...to love without reservation,
beyond our reveries...
.
.
...eyes dilated,
in the eye of the beheld...
.
.
...sundering these veils,
have all these fears dispelled...
.
.
Now here we are,
spinning slowly around,
yeah, here we are,
drowning pretenses out,
here we are,
in the most perfect moment,
of your life...
.
.
...can you feel the sunshine,
sunshine...

...ricocheting 'cross the skyline,
skyline...

...yeah, I'm swaying,
in the sunshine,
sunshine...
.
.
.
...can you feel the sunshine,
sunshine...

...ricocheting 'cross the skyline,
skyline...

...yeah, I'm swaying,
in the sunshine,
sunshine...
.
.

Thanks you both!

Hahahahaha, this dance song was inspired by what I felt at the beginning of this massive rave called Above & Beyond Group Therapy 250 last month in central Washington state. I can't share the entirety of the story, but it's about the liberating feeling you get when you make yourself vulnerable and surround yourself with thousands of other people, yet feel right at home and inspired to open yourself up to those around you in that we are all truly family.

I titled it "Komorebi" because the feeling is much like sudden javelins of sunlight filtering through the leaves and scattering.

xoPLURness,
Nadia Lockheart
