I love you like doughnuts
glazed without sprinkles.
I love your eyes
with or without twinkles.
Your grumpy old rear
slumped in your chair,
seems so dear
and no worse for wear.
I love you as is
and as isnít
as the case may be.
You are still my love to me.
Iíll take you in the sunshine
and the rain,
for the good times
and when youíre a pain.
You are a perfect collection
of imperfection
that suits me to a tee.
Because all that really matters
is just how much you love me.

Aww! See, Lori Rhoden? You know something of "true love" yourself:
quote:
"You are a perfect collection
of imperfection
that suits me to a tee"
...and everyone knows how much you love doughnuts!

...just bein' Bluesy

I have a saying:
True words aren't always pretty.
Pretty words aren't always true.

Same could be said for love:
True love isn't always pretty.
Pretty love isn't always true.

Thanks for the read and commenting. I'm especially flattered you remembered about the doughnuts. ~L

Me? Forget doughnuts? After all the times I've been told to "go take a flying _ _ _ _ at a rolling doughnut?

I should say not, Lori Rhoden!

...just bein' Bluesy
