         Your Heart

Here in this twilight calm
of gentle moonbeams
dancing on rooftops,
like a shadow that walks
these lonely evening streets,
I am the ghost moving in
a mirage within a dream,
seeking magic words,
the loveliest ever painted
on the grand-eternal
canvas of the ages or
written with the finest
'voice' of passion in the
immortal book of time …
words of the most perfect
rhythm, sound, and meaning
that could somehow catch
and hold your loving 'heart'
    forever

Beautifully sculpted poetry Bruce. Truly. This line, in particular, reached out to me:
quote:
"I am the ghost moving in
a mirage within a dream,
seeking magic words"

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this.

That was my favorite part too!

Constructive advice: the ' you used in this poem I feel were unnecessary.

Really nice romantic "scribble" ~L
