Pain

Searing currents laze about
carving paths in flesh

Drifting thoughts meander past
an analog scream

Dancing digits ply a tune
on sketched pianos

Radiant ballerinas
wince in poised rapture

Yet all states are meaningless
without cloying pain--

A pure form of want and need
driving life onward

Ever forward we must trudge,
harbingers of death

Only then does pain make sense,
and excuse this life

Misery, mayhem and joy
end much the same way

So choose a wise path, children;
all is destiny

I prefer to be a dreamer among the humblest, with visions to be realized, than lord among those without dreams and desires. -Khalil Gibran

Reminds me of the cliche

No pain no gain.

Your visuals are crystal clear.
