While in the forest on a sunny day
I sit and watch shadows of the leaves play
They dance in the breeze and then twirl away
As if in a ballet, As if in a ballet

Down over the bank lay a crisp clear creek
Listening closely I can hear it speak
Ancient waters spill forth all that I seek
It is full of mystique, It is full of mystique

Forest animals romp wild and free
Playing and chasing each other with glee
Through the lush foliage and around a tree
All happy as can be, All happy as can be

The forest sounds are music to my ears
I've had a love for them throughout my years
They calm my soul and chase away my fears
All sadness disappears, All sadness disappears

Pinkaladyhoo,
Your lovely and lively description of nature in this piece explains perfectly why it is so healthy for you to immerse yourself in it.
There is science to back it up. ~L

So this is the poem you were telling me about? You paint a very rich image illustrating how the forest has a very calming, surreal sense to it. The ambience is similar to the one I used to imagine when I was a child. That is, a twilight zone of ancient forest bliss.

If the reader listens carefully, she or he can feel the essence/soul of the forest. Very nice job, and loving the positive vibes. Thanks for sharing your creation, Alana!
