To free myself and mind release
Today I found a stronger me
Who’ll not stay lost and sad inside
Who’ll see how good each day can be

Expressing thoughts that linger deep
From hiding place where truth is home
Removing mask that showed a lie
Sharing joy that's felt alone

Walls are falling one by one
The rubble high, I climb and cheer
For way up here the view’s so wide
And peaceful days are coming clear

The years have passed with hope inside
Believing there'd be days of truth
But time does only carry on
While leaving way behind our youth

A change in life does only come
When action shows a different way
Fate to then direction take
To slowly change the passing day

When true to self with voice that’s clear
The days become what days should be
Where you can speak and live as meant
Where future bright each day you see

Ones ocean wild may storm within
With thoughts that sway in ever test
But any day can shine with change
To smile a while and show its best

Love your hopeful and upbeat message.  Everyday is a gift...at my age I am so grateful for all the goodness and many blessings in my life.

  Happy day to you Rick.

this was a lovely read, and a reaffirmation of how not one of us should compromise our identity for anyone or anything.

Well Done Rick!

As the saying goes: The truth shall set you free.

By removing the mask and existing as a compass pointed at true north (seeing what's real vs what's not), you can shine brighter than ever...
