Can't sit here like a cornered rat,
I must confront the blood and gore.
It matters not they have a bat,
In the hall hands are on the door.

I flung the door open so mad,
I stumbled for them with a roar.
Oh my goodness it's mom and dad
In the hall their hands on the door.

You might say they have had a few
They just left  the Tavern Blue

Lol. Looks like I was half right in my reply to your 2nd to last poem in this series. Great ending.
