Morning Song

I paused,
just beyond the church,
in my daily walk,
and listened
to the song I heard -
so beautiful, so melodic,
so filled with joy
and love of life -
surely heaven
stopped and listened too.
God must have sighed,
rested his chin in his hand,
and if only for a moment,
listened to the wonder
of the song.
And I, standing there
heart throbbing,
held my breath, listening . . .

to the Mockingbird sing.
~ ~ ~

Note: Ryleigh (15yr old grand daughter) and I were sitting on the patio a morning or two ago, me sipping coffee, her sipping juice, and the Mocking Bird just sang and sang the whole time . . . so this little bit.j.

Lovely Jimmy!
Nothing like 100% pure mother nature to inspire a poem. Nothing speaks to the heart quite like God's creation. ~L

A fitting tribute to the beautiful sounds of our fine feathered friends, Jimmy.

Is is wonderful to pause sometimes, and listen to what Nature offers...it is good for the mind and the soul.

A meditative write, much enjoyed.
