"Orange"

On the sunniest of days
I behold a beautiful orange,
Not only of the sun,
But of the fruit itself...
The shell shining orange,
A juicy paradise inside,
The tasty citrus fruit
That heals the heart,
Grown from a grove tree.

Seeing fields green afar,
In halcyon days dreamt of
The sky a cerulean blue,
The moon of dusk rising,
I sit with my darling orange
To taste so sweet a nectar
That ever graced our earth.
If I cannot enjoy such beauty
In today's world, I will dream
And receive it in my heart.
As I have just done while
Eating a fresh orange.

I'm glad you liked it. Orange and blue are actually two of my favorite colors. To me, they represent sun and sky/sea. Thanks for your compliment!

Wonderful, lyrical imagery.

Further to that...

...I could practically taste the orange...
