Pink Panther

The place I was going was a long ways
down old tobacco road, (is that the real name)
which seems to go on forever
on a lazy summer afternoon,
in some places heavily overgrown with vegetation,
not like the short section of new tobacco road
when you first turn off the main road,
so many times I had come here,
this time on a dirt bike
to accomplish this my favorite path of life
to spend time with my honey, my sweetheart,
my lovely wife, who I loved dearly
and now it was time to be with her in heaven
in our secret rendezvous cabin;
so far away from civilization,
with only the bees and the bears
and other wild animals the space to share,
and these two things would fill my day,
I would bury the gold and jewels
I had procured in my profession
adding greatly to my collection
and my precious wife,  Nadia, not
necessarily her real name, would be bringing
with her, the latest Paris fashions and
throughout our time together
she would be modeling for my pleasure,
even swimwear as we swam in our private pond
enjoying times of fun and leisure
the short but sweet time we would spend here
made us believe we were living in a world of love,
the place was so secluded and pretty
and we loved this time we could be so close
to balance out the hustle and bustle of the city,
on these days so far away.

This is such a sweet love story, but also sadly, this special place you once shared.

Beautiful recollection of times spent with your wife, although it pulls at heart strings. I enjoyed it.
