Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2017-07-19 06:00 AM

The weight of the world was lifted
with one simple word.
Clear.
All the glowing spots
that showed on the scan in October,
did not show up in the new scan.
The cancer is all gone.
Life isn’t back to normal yet,
but the topsy is no longer turvy.
The “what ifs” no longer rule the mind.
You can hear a lighter step and laughter.
The future holds more than confusion.
We feel more than blessed that
all the prayers were answered.
Now we can get back to our normal routine
of concerning ourselves with being struck
by buses or lightening.

The wait was grueling but ultimately worth it. Now all he needs is to be able to take enough nourishment by mouth that they can remove his feeding tube and chemo port. ~L

Thank you so much for all your prayers and good thoughts. Recovery has been a challenge and we are far from back to normal. But the struggle just got a ton easier. Thanks again for all your support. ~L
