When you gaze upon a rainbow remember this my friend
I'm gazing at it also I'm at the other end
When the moonlight dances across your bedroom floor
Know I'm thinking of you of this you can be sure

When you view the twinkling stars on a warm summers night
Know I will see them too and think of you with much delight
When you hear the whispers of the wind singing in your ear
Recall fond memories of me and know that I am near

When the fragrant scent of flowers comes wafting into a room
May it stir your senses and remind you of my perfume
As you're sitting quietly pondering over the end of day
Know that I am with you there just a memory away

grand-fine Romanticism !

YOU ... have a lovely 'spirit-heart' [as my 'native' (true) American brothers and sisters would put it]

Magical words and rhyme which capture and give this poem a lasting memory, Alana.

Pinkelywink,
This is sweet! The rhymes flow like silk. The poem leaves the reader feeling like you have left much more than just a memory. ~L

You have such a gift for rhyme, meter and your poems have such a romantic lift to them.

And I'll say to someone that I now can remember fondly of: "When you look at the moon on a clear night, think that I too am looking at it. Hold that thought, and it will bring back the good memories."

Alana - When walking through the thick green foliage of a Borneo jungle in noonday heat on a Tuesday, I felt a rare twinge of "pinklishness" prodding my right side and summoning me to return and reply to a wonderful poetic work by Her Highness of Hugz, the Goddess of Muchers, the Princess of Pink. So here I am and kinda glad it was not "Just a memory." Good to hear from the one and only.....Alana. Most enjoyed. Namyh

Alana- Beautifully written. It's very comforting to read. Anyone can read this if they have lost someone close in their life. You have a real talent for this kind of writing, and it's obvious by how many people are praising your writing abiilty. Keep up the good work.

Speaking of dementia, I have had it for a few years, mine is affecting my memory pretty bad. Speaking of memory loss, I have misplaced the other "Quintessence" poems. I'll keep looking for them.
