For the first time in many months
I sit on my comfy deck swing
leisurely taking a sneak~peek
at the new beginnings of spring

The sun warmly kisses my skin
while a soft breeze plays with my hair
a joy stirs all of my senses
as natures rebirth fills the air

Looking out across the blue lake
as far and wide as I can see
the waves softly lap at the shore
rendering a sweet melody

A mama goose and her goslings
happily splash along the shore
as seagulls circle over~head
and ducks bob for fish galore

Tiny green buds about to burst
impatiently wait on the trees
as daffodils happily dance
to the buzzing beat of the bees

Little red robins chase each other
hip hoppin' and boppin' around
gleefully tweeting and chirping
in search of fat worms in the ground

Baby squirrels scamper about
playing keep away with a nut
chittering at one another
biting each other on the butt

A soothing peace engulfs my soul
as I bask in spring~times treasures
I feel blessed to view the beauty
within natures simplest pleasures

Lovely visuals.  The rebirth that blooms in the spring is so fresh, and new and filled with hope.

Welcome to the blue sea, pink.

You still exceed your poetry Pinky and I suspect you always will.

Namaste

(how does one say "adios senorita" in Spanish? That's okay Pinky, I'll spend some time brushing up on it and get back to you)

...just bein' Bluesy
