                insufficient words

tonight … there is …

a new star dancing through the ‘Milky Way’
a fresh and gentle Spring-whisper in the
    winter wind
a finer harmony in the night bird’s song
a lovely cadence in the timeless march
    of rolling clouds
a pristine elegance in the moon-tipped
    shadows
a firmer passion in Nature’s  plea
a new forbearance in the human heart

… as Kathleen’s spirit passes by.

                  --- b. e. adams

just remembering all the exceptional writers who once 'danced'
the fine blue sands of "P.I.P.-land" by the cyber-sea!

[for Ms. Kathleen ('Kacy') Stafford in particular ... and the rest]

Bruce ~ this is silently, stirringly, softly beautiful. I miss Kacy, Balladeer, Marge and so many others. Your poem has brought tears to slip down my face as I remember them and all that they offered here in PiP. As I remember how they befriended me and tutored me. Thank you, Bruce. ~ Alison

"Insufficient"? Not in my funerary guestbook. To the contrary Mr. Adams. You were quite complete when you wrote, "there is…a new star dancing through the ‘Milky Way".

Well respected poetry Sir.

Just out looking for the real me...

Kacy was the first poet brave enough to attempt a duet with me. Her poetry was wonderful - but not nearly as wonderful as she herself was.

Every loss hurts... I miss Kacy and Rebecca and Marge and Karen and Seymour and Helen every time I open these pages. Losing Balladeer was a punch in the gut... losing Toerag has broken my heart.

You are right... no words are sufficient. But you somehow found words that are just right as well as being beautiful.

They will never be forgotten... not during our lifetimes.

LOVE ...

is the melody of the heart,
the harmony of the soul,
and, the song of the universe

Perhaps this still lovely, but often sad 'ol world needs more such "incurable Romantics?!"

I saw this before, Bruce.  I must have been too overcome to reply, because I see I didn't.  I especially miss Kacy.  A beautiful tribute to her and the others.
