     Night Passages

the scents and sights of
Spring tarry here and there
and you too my gentle
friend should have lingered
    longer

a single white cloud
how far is that sky

sunset beckons
long shadows
and deepest
sorrows

surging moon
across these wide
    waters
beneath a
falling star

song of the night
to Loves lost
and fading memories

meeting is hard
parting harder still
yet neither matter

Yes, and the "scents and sounds" go 'round and 'round like a carousel that one outgrows and soon, other young ones shimmy into the saddles before time takes them too, away.

Just out looking for the real me...
