28 December 2016

I will respect and honour
but I donít understand
the mask that has to be
but doesnít have to be
for I am strong enough
to bear and share
whatever the pain behind the mask,
but I will respect and honour
the mask that doesnít have to be.

A clear 'mask' hides nothing. Now, you take a wolf in sheep's' clothing...THAT is costuming with a motive.

Good poem

Just out looking for the real me...

I know of no one who bears and shares better - or who cares and respects more.

Beautiful write!

Thank you, Ruth, for your kind, compassionate words.  I could and do say the same of you, in the midst of your devastating sorrow, you still reach out to others.  Hugs.

Wow, OwlSA!
Having read this, it's time to re-read it and quit for the night. This small poem spoke volumes to me.

Sorry for the delay Miscellanea.  I read this at the time and I thought I had replied.  Perhaps I lost my internet connection in the process and didn't know.

Thank you for your kind words.
