A nation under siege
heard the great deceiver,
for to their detriment,
they had become believers.
Ignoring the ruin in his wake
they made a crucial and fatal mistake.
A sad and unfortunate circumstance...
Goodbye to great and glorious France.

France has fallen before. Waving 'good-bye' just becomes part of the problem. Those that truly love France, will not wave "good bye", but instead, will fight for 'her' as they always have...and win. Viva La France!

Just out looking for the real me...

too easily deceived, but writers and thinkers uncover; I enjoyed your well-written poem. Important words with a very nice flow!

Appreciate your sentiments for the French, but keep an eye on Germany. The best is yet to come.
