~ A CHILD of GOD ~

Courtney is a special girl
Especially to her mother
A young lady now,
But always a child
For she is like no other
She's a child of God,
Who does not speak
But happy all the while
Church is where she comes alive
Here, her spirit
Does soar and thrive
As the choir
Begins to sing
She makes a joyful sound
And there are smiles
All around
To the congregation,
Her special ways are known
They lovingly embrace her,
As one of their own
One Sunday,
Much to her mother's surprise
A small miracle occurred,
That brought tears to her eyes
Courtney threw up her arms
And embraced her mother
A rare gift - A Hug!
The congregation sighed
At this precious wonder
This was special,
In so many ways
For it wasn't just Sunday
It was,
MOTHER'S DAY!!

A special embrace whatever the day or place.

Pass the Glade if you're going to do that here...

Very much enjoyed the happy day! Not often enough do we see the many miracles of life and synchronous timing that is truly there.
Thanks for the reminder, katahdin.

Thanks everyone for reading. This was a true story about my sister and her special needs daughter. I gave my sister this poem for her birthday which was close to Mothers Day. She cried. Kat
